Reinmoson Tea Balls for Loose Tea

I love these infusers. I use very coarse, loose leaf tea and there is NO debris that escapes. The usual, very, very fine sediment is in the bottom of the cup, but this also happens when I use a tea bag. I love the included stainless tray to set my infuser on after steeping. Cleaning up is easy as the used tea falls out of the infuser easily, but you do need to use a finger to get all large debris out before rinsing.
The hook is nice to fasten to the top of a large mug for easy removal.

So far, this seems to be an excellent stainless steel infuser, at least in my opinion. The 2 parts connect tightly onto each other yet provide flexibility when disconnecting the 2 parts. I did not have much trouble fastening the top to the bottom part. The construction is outstanding (micro-holes are smooth not jagged steel, very easy to clean & separate), the chain is constructed very, very well, and not like some cheap, junkie & flimsy chain that will break after a few uses. In addition, I absolutely LOVE that it can retract inside the infuser!!! I have noted no discoloration whatsoever of the product in the 25 or so times I have made tea. Still looks like new.

The only minor thing that I have found is that if your tea is really cut up small (fine), then you’ll likely have a minute amount of tea debris/sediment/leaves floating in your tea. I use this infuser with my South African Rooibos (Red Bush) tea leaves, my White Teas, my Japanese Green Tea, and my Whole Tea Leaves of Red Rose Bud (whole buds) & Red Rose Petals. All in all, I find this Tea Infuser to be EXCELLENT in all regards, with the extremely minute exception of the tea debris/leaves sometimes leaking out the top. But I really consider this a minor nuisance and I will not dock a star for that. I had the pleasure of corresponding with Oliver, the Amazon Seller of this, and he assures me that there is a new, updated model which improved on the design so that the top and bottom parts open and close much easier. When I receive that model, I will post a review of that infuser on Amazon.

But if I were to buy THIS particular model all over again, I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone and would POSITIVELY purchase this again & again!!!

Bought this to steep loose leaf tea. Hot or cold. This does both easily. Fine mesh that no leaves or residue really escape into your liquid. If I add ground cinnamon, some of that might go through the mesh, but I’m ok with that – this is for the tea leaves. It clasps together easily, and holds well, even with dipping repeatedly. It has a chain that can collapse inside the device for storage, but hang about 5 inches into whatever container when using. I hang it into a Yeti stainless 20 oz and put in the frig for cold brew hibiscus tea. Essentially I have a daily factory, take it out, pour into drinking cup, wash quickly, add more tea leaves, hang off the Yeti, put back in frig. Repeat.—– and you get 2, so you can let one dry while you use the other. Perfect purchase.

I purchased these specifically for fine leaf teas and the small mesh “box” that would hopefully contain the tea and I wouldn’t have any (or much) floating debris from the tea steeping. I am happy to report that these work very well with regards to this. I had a moment of struggle to get the top off but once succeeded, I found the edges to be a little thin. Squeezing too much to remove or replace the lids, I am afraid, may result in a bend of the box itself. This was my reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on ease of use. I will definitely use these often and would consider them as gifts. The cute little plates that come along to place the used steeping boxes are very much appreciated!
